Frumentius

Description: (Priest)
Frumentius was a Phoenician Christian missionary who became the first bishop of Axum, bringing Christianity to the Kingdom of Aksum. He was captured as a boy and enslaved, eventually being freed and invited to educate the king's heir. He and his brother began teaching Christianity in the region and later traveled to Alexandria to request the appointment of a bishop and missionary priests for Axum. Frumentius was appointed bishop and successfully established the Church in Ethiopia, converting many locals and the king, creating a tradition of the Patriarch of Alexandria appointing bishops in Ethiopia.
