Description:
(King)
Luli, the king of Tyre from 729 to 694 BC, faced numerous challenges during his reign, primarily dealing with Assyrian dominance and multiple revolts. Despite being tributary to Assyria, Luli staged several uprisings, leading to sieges and blockades by Assyrian forces. He managed to reclaim Cyprus and its colony of Kition following Sargon's death but eventually lost control over various territories. After Luli's death, Tyre fell under the rule of pro-Assyrian leaders, marking the end of his tumultuous reign.
