Charles Habib Malik was a prominent Lebanese figure with diverse professional roles. He served as a diplomat representing Lebanon at the United Nations and held key positions such as President of the Commission on Human Rights and the United Nations General Assembly. Malik also contributed to Lebanese politics by being a member of the Cabinet and heading ministries such as Culture and Higher Education, as well as Foreign Affairs and Emigration. Additionally, he played a significant role in drafting the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
