Māris Štrombergs

Māris Štrombergs, a Latvian former professional BMX racer, made history as the first Olympic champion in BMX cycling at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He continued his success by winning the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. Throughout his career, Štrombergs trained with renowned coaches such as Raimonds Ciesnieks and Ivo Lakučs, achieving notable victories including the 2008 UCI BMX World Championships. After a successful career, Štrombergs retired in 2018.
