(Kenyan Former Steeplechase Runner) Saif Saaeed Shaheen, previously Stephen Cherono, is a steeplechase runner from Kenya who later competed for Qatar. He held the world record for the 3000 meter steeplechase for 19 years and won two World Championship titles. Shaheen made a successful return to the sport in 2009 and 2010 after overcoming setbacks and injuries before retiring.
