Hakuhō Shō, a former professional sumo wrestler from Mongolia, began his career in March 2001 and quickly ascended to the prestigious makuuchi division by May 2004. At the young age of 22, he made history by becoming only the second Mongolian and fourth non-Japanese wrestler to attain the esteemed rank of yokozuna. Hakuhō's remarkable accomplishments include setting records for the most wins in a calendar year, the most undefeated tournament championships, and the most top division championship wins in sumo history. After an illustrious 20-year career, Hakuhō retired in September 2021, leaving an enduring legacy in the sport.
