Cindy Breakspeare is a Canadian-Jamaican model and musician who rose to fame after she won the prestigious ‘Miss World’ title in 1976. Pursuing a career as a musician, actress and now entrepreneur, Breakspeare surely come a long way since her humble beginnings. Born in a bustling household with four siblings, Breakspeare break into modelling came in as early as when she was in her early teens. She won several titles that opened the gates of the prestigious Miss World competition for Breakspeare. Contesting in the show, she emerged as one of the finalists and eventually was crowned Miss World 1976. By doing so, she became the second Jamaican to bag the title. Though Miss World brought her immense fame and recognition, it was Breakspeare’s relationship with reggae legend Bob Marley that made her a household name. She has also acted in movies and has commenced her career as a recording artist as well.
