Dervla Kirwan is a popular Irish television and stage actress. She has been part of some famous television shows such as ‘Ballykissangel’ and ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’. While still in her secondary school, she decided to become an actress and entered a drama school, landing her first role at the age of fifteen. By sixteen, she had moved to London, taking part in ‘Handful of Stars’ at Bush Theatre. However, born to a school teacher mother, she had to return home to complete her secondary education. By eighteen, she was back in London, taking part in a series of stage plays and television dramas. By nineteen, she became famous for her role in the British sitcom, ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’. She left it three years later to star in ‘Ballykissangel’, a popular television drama, earning many awards for her role in it. Concurrently, she also worked in number of films. Lately, she has also started producing films.
