Aidan Gillen is an actor from Ireland who has garnered international fame for portraying Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish in the HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’. His other memorable roles include Stuart Alan Jones in the Channel 4 series ‘Queer as Folk’, Tommy Carcetti in the HBO series ‘The Wire’, and Dr. J. Allen Hynek in The History Channel's ‘Project Blue Book’. A Dublin native, Gillen started acting when he was a teenager with the Dublin Youth Theatre. He made his screen debut in an episode of ‘Wanderly Wagon’ in 1982. Five years later, he had his first cinematic appearance, in the drama film ‘The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne’. He earned a Tony nomination for his portrayal of Mick in a Broadway production of ‘The Caretaker’. Gillen has served as the host of RTÉ2’s live music series ‘Other Voices’ from season 10 to season 13. In recent years, he has portrayed various supporting roles in films like ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, the ‘Maze Runner’ film franchise, and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
