Saoirse is an Irish–American actor, best known for her roles in films such as ‘The Lovely Bones’ (2009), ‘Hanna’ (2011), and ‘Lady Bird’ (2017). The ‘Academy Award’-nominated actor made her acting debut with the Irish TV show ‘The Clinic’ in 2003. She made her big-screen debut with the film ‘I Could Never Be Your Woman’ (2007). Ronan’s next release, ‘Atonement,’ brought her immense fame and made her a well-known face in Hollywood. She made her ‘Broadway’ debut in the 2016 revival of Arthur Miller’s play ‘The Crucible.’ It ran for 125 performances and her portrayal of ‘Abigail Williams’ was described by critics as very commanding. Her spectacular performance in the 2017 film ‘Lady Bird’ earned her a ‘Golden Globe Award’ for ‘Best Actress’ and an ‘Academy Award’ nomination too. Her performances in the films ‘Atonement’ and ‘Brooklyn’ earned her two more ‘Academy Award’ nominations. Her other noteworthy films, such as ‘Byzantium’ (2012), ‘The Host’ (2013), ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ (2014), and the animated drama ‘Loving Vincent’ (2017), are incredible masterpieces of cinema. She is now set to star in a film adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s play ‘The Seagull.’ She appeared in musician Ed Sheeran’s music video ‘Galway Girl’ (2017).
