Hormizd IV

Description: (King)
Hormizd IV reigned as the Sasanian King of Kings of Iran from 579 to 590. He led military campaigns against the Byzantine Empire in the west and effectively managed the Western Turkic Khaganate in the east. Hormizd IV expanded the Sasanian Empire by incorporating Iberia and navigated internal challenges, including the Sasanian civil war. He was recognized for his religious tolerance, refusing to persecute Christians despite pressure to do so. While some criticized him as tyrannical, modern interpretations portray him as a ruler committed to advancing his father's policies with determination.
