(Iranian Professional Football Coach and Former Player) Mehdi Mahdavikia, a former professional football player, now serves as a youth coach for Hamburger SV and runs his own youth academy, FC KIA. He is also a member of the Football Advisory Panel for the International Football Association Board (IFAB) representing the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Mahdavikia played for various clubs in Iran and Germany, captained the Iranian national team, and received awards such as the Asian Young Footballer of the Year in 1997 and the Asian Footballer of the Year in 2003. Known for his exceptional crossing, speed, and dribbling abilities, Mahdavikia is the fourth most capped player in Iran's history.
