Golshifteh Farahani is an Iranian actress who has appeared in several critically acclaimed films over the years and has been recognized by the international film fraternity for being a fine performer. She is known for being bold and daring. Many of the films she has appeared in have kindled controversy in Iran. Some of her films like ‘Haft Parde’, ‘Deux fereshté’, and ‘Bab'Aziz: Le prince qui contemplait son âme’ have been banned by the Iranian government. Despite being a controversial actress, she has also received much recognition for her brilliant acting skills. Farahani has won several accolades over the course of her career, establishing her credentials as an exceptional actress in the international film scenario. She won the Best Actress Award at the Nantes Three Continents Festival as well as at the House of Cinema Festival.
