Hossein Vafaei is a professional snooker player from Iran. He made history as the first professional player from Iran. In 2022, Vafaei won his first ranking title at the Snooker Shoot Out by defeating Mark Williams in the final. He also made his Crucible debut at the 2022 World Snooker Championship, facing Judd Trump in the first round. In 2023, Vafaei debuted at the Masters, replacing Zhao Xintong in the draw. He defeated Mark Selby in the first round but was eliminated by Jack Lisowski in the quarter-finals.
