Rashid-al-Din Hamadani

Description: (Leader)
Rashid al-Din Hamadani was a prominent figure in the Ilkhanid court, known for his contributions to Persian historiography. He served as the chief vizier and historian under Ghazan, tasked with compiling the Jāmiʿ al-Tawārīkh, a comprehensive chronicle covering the Mongol era to his time. Rashid collaborated with Bolad, a Mongol nobleman, and managed a team of calligraphers and illustrators at Rab'-e Rashidi in Qazvin. Despite debates on authorship, Rashid's lasting impact is seen in his documentation of cultural exchanges and the historical shift from the Mongol rule to subsequent empires.
