(Prime Minister) Katrín Jakobsdóttir, an Icelandic politician, served as the prime minister of Iceland from 2017 to 2024 and was a member of the Althing for the Reykjavík North constituency from 2007 to 2024. A University of Iceland graduate, she held leadership roles within the Left-Green Movement, including deputy chairperson and chairperson. Katrín also served as Iceland's minister of education, science, and culture, as well as Nordic cooperation. She made history as Iceland's second female prime minister and was appointed Chair of the Council of Women World Leaders in 2020.
