(Hungarian Professional Water Polo Player and Coach) Tibor Benedek was a highly accomplished Hungarian water polo player and coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest in the sport's history. He won gold medals at the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Olympics and represented Hungary at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. Benedek later transitioned into coaching, leading Hungary's national water polo team from 2013 to 2016. He received numerous accolades, including being named Hungarian Water Polo Player of the Year three times and was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2016.
