Alfred Auguste Nemours

Alfred Auguste Nemours was a Haitian military general, diplomat, and military historian who attended the military academy Saint-Cyr in Paris. He authored the notable work "Histoire Militaire" during the United States occupation of Haiti. Nemours held various government positions, including Conseiller d'Etat, Secretary and President du Conseil d'Etat, and Minister Plenipotentiary to Paris. He represented Haiti at the League of Nations and played a significant role in Haitian politics as a Senator of the Republic and Secretary of State of the Interior.
