Claudette Werleigh, the first female prime minister of Haiti, served from 1995 to 1996. After her term, she pursued roles in peace and diplomacy. She became a Director at the Life & Peace Institute in Uppsala, Sweden in 1999. Later, she held positions as Secretary General in 2007 and Peace Envoy in 2010 at Pax Christi International, a Catholic peace organization in Brussels, Belgium.
