Thelma Cabrera Pérez de Sánchez is a Maya Mam Indigenous human rights activist and politician in Guatemala. In 2019, she made history by running for president as a candidate for the Movement for the Liberation of Peoples party. Cabrera secured the highest vote total for an indigenous candidate in Guatemala, finishing fourth in the election with 10.3% of the popular vote.
