David IV, also known as David IV the Builder, was the 5th king of the Kingdom of Georgia. He is celebrated as the most eminent Georgian ruler for his triumph over the Seljuk Turks and victory at the Battle of Didgori in 1121. His military strategies and effective governance allowed him to unify the nation and extend Georgia's influence over the Caucasus region. David IV was a fervent advocate of the Church and Christian heritage, which led to his recognition as a saint by the Georgian Orthodox Church.
