Vincent de Paul Nyonda was a Gabonese playwright and Minister known for his significant contributions to the political and cultural landscape of Gabon. He served as Minister of Public Works and Minister of Justice under President Léon M'ba. Nyonda's refusal to join the new administration led to his arrest and subsequent exile to a village. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for writing and theater, eventually becoming a renowned playwright and earning the title "Father of the Gabonese Theater."
