Thierry Daniel Henry is a retired French footballer and professional football coach. France’s record goal-scorer, Henry is regarded as one of the greatest strikers in the history of the game. His football career started with Monaco’s youth rank under manager Arsène Wenger. He then moved to Juventus where he majorly played as a left winger. Post 2000, Henry became a striker and one of the most feared players in Europe. He then moved to Arsenal and then to Barcelona where his team won the ‘Champions League Trophy’ in 2008-2009. He then moved to ‘Major League Soccer’ (MLS) and performed brilliantly. His style of play has been described as ostentatious, productive, and complete. He is the only player in the history of European football to have been named the FWA ‘Footballer of the Year’ three times. He has also been named the ‘French Player of the Year’ on four occasions. Throughout his career, Henry appeared in commercials and signed many endorsements. In 2006, he was the ninth-most commercially marketable football players in the world.
