She held the WBC female super-featherweight title from 2015 to 2020 and the European female super-featherweight title from 2012 to 2015. In her amateur career, she won a silver medal at the Women's European Championships and represented Finland at the Women's World Championships. Wahlstrom is Finland's most successful professional boxer, being the first and only Finn to win a world title from a major boxing sanctioning body.
