Heart Evangelista is the pseudonym of Filipina actor, painter, singer, and philanthropist Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco-Escudero. Heart is also the wife of the current governor of Sorsogon, Francis Escudero, and is thus the First Lady of Sorsogon. Heart is the daughter of Chinese–Filipino restaurateur Reynaldo Evangelista Ongpauco. She started her career as a model after being spotted by a talent agent at 13. She then appeared in numerous films and series such as G-mik, Trip, Bcuz of U, Ay Ayeng, Mulawin vs. Ravena, and Luna Mystika. As a painter, her solo exhibitions at Ayala Museum and Galerie Joaquin were immensely successful. She is also a supporter of LGBTQ issues and is associated with various charities for animals and children, including her own organization, Heart Can.
