Alemu Bekele Gebre, originally from Ethiopia, is a professional long-distance runner who represents Bahrain. He specializes in the 5000m and 10,000m races and has achieved success at the international level. Bekele moved to Bahrain as a junior athlete and has excelled in various championships. He has won bronze medals in the 5000m and 3000m events, claimed the 10,000m title, and earned a silver medal in the 5000m at the Asian Athletics Championships. Furthermore, he has excelled in cross country competitions, winning the Asian and World Military championships and has participated in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships multiple times.
