He achieved multiple Emirati national titles and won the silver medal in the road race at the 2015 Asian Cycling Championships, securing a spot in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Mirza made history as the first Emirati cyclist to compete in the Olympic road race and joined the UAE Abu Dhabi team in 2017, becoming the first Emirati to ride for a UCI WorldTeam.
