Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum is a well-known shooter from the UAE who made history by winning the country's first Olympic medal. He excelled at the 2004 Summer Olympics by securing gold in the double trap event and finishing fourth in the trap event. His success continued with another gold medal in double trap at the 2005 ISSF World Cup. While he didn't reach the final at the 2008 Summer Olympics, he transitioned to coaching and played a significant role in guiding British shooter Peter Wilson to victory in the double trap event at the 2012 London Olympics.
