José María Velasco Ibarra

He completed a full term only in 1952–1956. Velasco Ibarra faced challenges during his presidency, being removed by military force in four instances and reinstated through military coups. Despite these difficulties, he played a prominent role in Ecuadorian politics for a significant period.
