(Dutch Former Professional Road Racing Cyclist) Hennie Kuiper was a highly successful Dutch professional road racing cyclist, celebrated for his accomplishments in major competitions including the Olympic road race and the world professional road race. He claimed a gold medal at the 1972 Munich Olympics and was crowned world professional road race champion in 1975. Kuiper also clinched victories in four of the five "Monument" classics and took part in the Tour de France on 12 occasions, finishing as a runner-up twice.
