(Dutch Former Auto Racing Driver) Arie Luyendyk, known as "The Flying Dutchman," is a retired Dutch auto racing driver with a successful career. He won the prestigious Indianapolis 500 races in 1990 and 1997, and achieved seven Indy car victories, three of which were in the CART series on oval tracks. His accomplishments led to his induction into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2014.
