Michael Pineda is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher with experience in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, and Detroit Tigers. He was signed by the Mariners as an international free agent in 2005 and debuted in the MLB in 2011. Pineda achieved All-Star status in his rookie year and was subsequently traded to the Yankees. Despite facing challenges from shoulder injuries and Tommy John surgery, he successfully returned to the field with the Twins in 2019 before moving on to play with the Detroit Tigers in 2022.
