Richard Camacho is a Dominican-American singer, songwriter, and dancer, who shot to fame when he successfully auditioned to become one of CNCO’s five-member band. The quintet for CNCO was selected following rigorous auditioning rounds as part of the Latin American reality show, La Banda. The top 5 contestants became the founding members of CNCO. His popularity on La Banda has translated to over 2.8 million Instagram followers and over 771k Twitter followers. Camacho, one of the members of this Latin-pop band, warmed up to music at a very early age, from the age of three to be precise. The urge to sing and compose songs as well as dance, came effortlessly, and soon became second nature, thanks to entertainer parents, one of whom excelled as a musician while the other was a champion danseuse. The CNCO’S very first single, Tan Fácil charted at the number 1 spot on Billboard’s Latin Airplay and also became the top charting single on the Latin singles chart on iTunes. Primera Cita, the group’s first studio album, endorsed by Sony Music, also coveted the crowning spot on almost all prime Latin albums listings.
