Bent Larsen

Bent Larsen was a renowned Danish chess grandmaster celebrated for his creative and unconventional playing style. He was one of the top non-Soviet players during the 1960s and 1970s, ranking just behind Bobby Fischer. Larsen clinched the Danish Champion title six times and was a contender for the World Chess Championship on four occasions, making it to the semifinals three times. Notably, he defeated all seven World Champions from 1948 to 1985, despite having an overall negative score against them. Larsen split his time between Las Palmas and Buenos Aires with his spouse and sadly passed away in 2010.
