Jakub Janda, a Czech politician and former ski jumper, had a successful career in ski jumping from 1996 to 2017. He won the gold medal in the 2005–06 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup and became the 2006 World Champion. Janda also achieved victory in the 2005/06 Four Hills Tournament and earned silver and bronze medals at the 2005 World Championships. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished ski jumpers from the Czech Republic and is the only Czech World Cup champion to date.
