Maximian

Description: (Roman Emperor Who Hanged Himself to Death after His Campaign against Constantine Failed)
Maximian, also known as Herculius, was a Roman emperor who ruled from 286 to 305, sharing power with co-emperor Diocletian. He was recognized for his military prowess and dedicated much of his reign to military campaigns, suppressing rebels in Gaul and battling Germanic tribes along the Rhine frontier. He faced challenges dealing with rebellions in Britain and northwestern Gaul, as well as combating piracy near Hispania and Berber incursions in Mauretania. Maximian abdicated in 305 but later briefly reclaimed the title of Augustus to support his son's rebellion in Italy.
