(Costa Rican Former Professional Tennis Player) Juan Antonio Marín Casero is a retired male tennis player who competed for Costa Rica at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He began his career playing under the Spanish flag before changing his representation to Costa Rica. Marín reached a career-best singles ranking of world No. 55 in October 1999. He notably competed against Pete Sampras at the 1999 French Open, coming close to a win. Despite participating in 17 Grand Slam main draws, he did not secure a victory in any of those matches.
