Liu Cixin is a renowned Chinese science fiction writer and computer engineer. He has received several prestigious awards for his novels, such as the Hugo Award and the Locus Award for "The Three-Body Problem" and "Death's End" respectively. Liu has won the China Galaxy Award nine times and has also been honored with the Chinese Nebula Award. Referred to as "Da Liu" by his colleagues, he is actively involved in the China Science Writers Association and holds the position of vice president at the Shanxi Writers Association.
