He was renowned for his scoring abilities, winning the Art Ross Trophy in 1979-80. Dionne achieved notable feats such as scoring 50 or more goals in a season six times and accumulating 100 points or more in a season eight times. He represented Canada in international competitions and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992. In 2017, he was honored as one of the '100 Greatest NHL Players' in history.
