(Singer-Songwriter, Bassist and Founding Member of 'The Band') Rick Danko, a Canadian musician, was renowned as a bassist, songwriter, and singer. He gained fame as a founding member of the Band. In the 1960s, he played with the Hawks, supporting Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan. Transitioning to the Band in 1968, they released seven studio albums before disbanding in 1977. Danko later reunited with the Band in 1983 and remained actively involved until his passing in 1999. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
