Lennox Lewis is a retired boxer and former undisputed world heavyweight champion. He represented Canada at the 1988 Olympics, winning a gold medal. He later became the world heavy-weight champion of the ‘World Boxing Council’ (WBC). He is of Jamaican descent and is known for his premeditated fighting style. He is also known for his cool and confident demeanor in the ring. He is the first Briton to win the world championship in a century and enjoys a massive fan following in his home country. Turning professional in 1989, he won 21 fights consecutively. In 1992, he became the number one ranked boxer in the ‘World Boxing Council.’ In 1993, he became the WBC heavyweight champion. Although he is now retired from the sport, he tours around the world with his posse and promotes the game. Lennox Lewis, who calls himself “the pugilist specialist,” is considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers ever. He ranks fifth in BoxRec's list of best heavyweight boxers of all time.
