Benoît Assou-Ekotto is a retired professional footballer renowned for his role as a left back. He started his career at Lens and later joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2006. Assou-Ekotto made over 200 appearances for Tottenham before being loaned to Queens Park Rangers in 2013. After leaving Tottenham in 2015, he played for Saint-Étienne and Metz. Additionally, he played for the Cameroon national team and participated in two FIFA World Cup tournaments.
