(Politician, Lawyer) Adamou Ndam Njoya was a prominent Cameroonian politician, lawyer, author, and professor who held various significant positions in his career. He served as Minister of National Education from 1977 to 1980 and was the President of the Cameroon Democratic Union until his passing in 2020. Additionally, Njoya was the Mayor of Foumban since 1996 and a Deputy in the National Assembly from 1997 to 2007. He also ran for the presidency in several elections, including in 1992, 2004, 2011, and 2018.
