Issa Hayatou, a Cameroonian sports executive and former athlete, is recognized for his influential positions in football administration. He held the presidency of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for nearly thirty years, during which he played a key role in advancing African football. Hayatou also briefly assumed the role of FIFA president in the aftermath of a corruption scandal. Despite allegations of bribery, he continued to be involved in international sports governance, including serving as a member of the International Olympic Committee.
