(Cambodian Politician who Ordered the Massacre of 100,000 People in 1978) Son Sen, a Cambodian Communist politician and soldier, held a prominent position within the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kampuchea/Party of Democratic Kampuchea, known as the Khmer Rouge. He was in charge of overseeing the Party's security operations, including the Santebal secret police and the infamous security prison S-21 at Tuol Sleng. Sen issued orders that led to the massacre of over 100,000 individuals in the Eastern Zone of Cambodia in the final six months of 1978.
