(Mystic) Baba Vanga, also known as Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, was a Bulgarian mystic and healer celebrated for her supposed clairvoyance and precognition abilities. Blind from childhood, she resided in the Rupite area of the Belasica mountains in Bulgaria. During the late 1970s and 1980s, she became widely known in Eastern Europe for her claimed ability to foresee the future. Even after the end of communism and her passing in 1996, Baba Vanga's reputation and influence endured, keeping her popularity and mystique alive.
