Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee was a renowned English actor and singer. He was best known for his work in horror films produced by Hammer Studios, particularly for his portrayal of Count Dracula. Lee had a long-standing friendship with Peter Cushing, with whom he frequently collaborated in Hammer horror films. In Star Wars, Cushing played Grand Moff Tarkin, while Lee himself portrayed Count Dooku, a Sith Lord with formidable abilities, in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Christopher Lee also played the primary villain, Francisco Scaramanga, in the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). Additionally, he worked with George Lucas on the 1992 television series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, where he portrayed Count Ottokar Graf Czerin in the episode "Austria, March 1917." One of his most acclaimed roles was Saruman in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, a performance that earned him widespread recognition. Beyond acting, Lee also pursued a career in music. He released a symphonic metal album titled Revelation and collaborated with the Italian power metal band Rhapsody of Fire, lending his voice to several of their songs. In 2010, he was honored with the Spirit of Metal award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards for his contributions to the metal genre.
