Dua Lipa is an English singer, songwriter, and former model who has established herself as one of the leading artists of her time with the release of her eponymous debut album. The album, which features several hit singles, includes the UK number-one single New Rules, as well as two more UK top-10 singles, Be the One and IDGAF. New Rules became a global hit, reaching No.1 in the UK, No.2 in Australia, No.6 in the US, and No.5 in Canada. Lipa, who describes her music as dark pop, began posting covers of songs by her favorite artists, such as P!nk and Nelly Furtado, on YouTube when she was 14. She eventually signed with Warner Music Group to release her debut album. In 2018, she won two Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. She was once rumored to be a frontrunner to record a James Bond theme song, but Billie Eilish was ultimately selected for No Time to Die (2021).
