He is a four-time Olympian and achieved notable success with the Brazilian national volleyball team, winning gold medals at the 2004 and 2016 Olympics and silver medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Serginho is a two-time World Champion and has excelled in prestigious tournaments such as the World League, South American Championship, World Cup, and Grand Champions Cup. In 2009, he made history by becoming the first libero to be named Most Valuable Player in the FIVB World League.
