Elizabeth of Bosnia was queen consort of Hungary and Croatia, as well as queen consort of Poland. After her husband's death, she served as regent of Hungary and Croatia. She strategically surrounded herself with loyal noblemen, notably Nicholas I Garai, to consolidate her influence. Facing rebellions during her regency, she took decisive action to protect her daughter's throne, including orchestrating the murder of a rival king. Despite challenges, she successfully maintained power and secured her daughter's position as queen.
